Yesterday I took Mica to participated in the Bon festival dance at the park beside the nursery
school which my daughter Mica is going to.
The Bon festival dance was performed from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. We joined in at 7 o'clock,We bought
some shaved ice at the stall to stand the hot summer night in the park.
The general style of the Bon festival dance is that a tower is set up at the center of an open
space; a caller atop the tower sings a folk song for a dance, and participants dance to the song
as they circle the tower.
Mica climbed up to the YAGURA and danced with the same nursery school's friends of 5 years
old or older. After that about 8:00 pm we line up to have some Garigari ice cream for free at the
Bon festival dance for a temporary break.Mica was very excited and entertained.
It was two years ago when we first participated in the Bon festival dance and was
invited by my Japanese friend,We joined together in summer for two years ago.
The Bon festival dance is a Japanese traditional summer festival.
Actually it was originally one of the religious events.Depending on the area, the night shop
has come out to enhance the atmosphere of the festival, and it often takes place as an event
such as a company or local shopping street and the open place or a park beside the school.
Bon dance is a religious event that began as a Nembutsu dance to receive the spirits of ancestors
who had originally returned to Obon, and since it was a dance that everyone was able to
participate in, and to save the mind of the ancestors.

Many summer festivals begin in early July, and the festive mood peaks in August. Is held
somewhere in Japan throughout the coming days of this period.
